A UX designer with a background in design, concept & branding, I'm in the idea generation & problem-solving business - with design-thinking & visual story-telling at the heart of what I do.
Starting out in fashion design, my curiosity led to a variety of international experiences, both in-house and as a consultant/freelancer, as I was keen to explore different cultures, markets and roles, from VP of Concept & Trend forecasting at a Fortune 500 to a Director of a Startup SAAS platform for the fashion industry.
Most recently I've added UX design to my portfolio, which feels like a natural next step, as my previous experience echoes the UX process: robust market research, analysis; the unpicking of pain points; relating; defining and refining design solutions that relate to my audience's needs and that of the business goals I've been set.
The less you assume you know, the more you discover. The skills I've honed over the years bring together 'the dreaming & doing', listening, observing, theory & reality, harnessing both creativity and business strategy.
Being collaborative is a natural state for me, being a twin. Co-operating, working out what each individual or team needs and working from there is always satisfying. I was born in the UK and grew up in both London, UK and Harare, Zimbabwe and have the privilege to work on 4 continents, straddling and learning about new places and people is always exciting and rewarding.
I'm looking for a company and culture that values talent, compassion; work/life balance and personal development as much as they do team wins; transparency and accountability. A team where I can bring the skills I've honed over the years, listening; observing; and harnessing both business strategy & creativity.
I’m excited by brands with equity, integrity and personality, who are bold, set their own trends and stand up for who they (& their customers) are
I take what I do seriously but not myself too seriously and challenge myself all the time to think 'post ego'.  On that note you should probably also know I was in a breakdancing crew called 'Radiation' in my teens - you've been warned.
If you'd like to get in touch this is for you... and thanks for your time.
